About me
My name is Phage. It’s pronounced like “Paige”, but with a more fun spelling. That’s exactly how I would describe myself- fun loving, which is probably why I love childcare so much! I’ve been babysitting since I was twelve years old. One of my mom’s friends had a three month old baby, and asked if I could watch her for the afternoon. And so developed a lifelong passion for childcare! Growing up, the only thing I loved more than going to camp myself was being a camp counselor. I was a camp counselor at a fine arts camp for four years.
Additionally, I also have a passion for teaching and caring for children with special needs. Before I decided to pursue my love for acting, I was enrolled in college to study special education. I attended the William Esper Studio, and completed their two year acting program. Acting has taught me compassion more than anything else. I’ve always had a heart for children with mental and physical handicaps. They teach me so much more than I could ever hope to teach them. My love for this type of work led me to be a theater coach for children with special needs. It also led me to volunteer my Saturday afternoons in Chinatown working with a group of boys with special needs. What I love the most about childcare is being able to watch children explore the world and learn about themselves. I love sharing my love for art, books, and music with children while learning all about the things that interest them. I am an avid reader of all genres! So activities like discussing the Harry Potter series with an amazing 12 year old boy has been one of the most fun experiences ever!
I’m a early riser/morning person who enjoys a good cup of coffee! I am high energy, organized and neat. I appreciate being able to teach kids how to clean up after themselves and cultivate lives of tidiness and low stress. Weather permitting, I could be outdoors all day long! Activities such as walking, playing in the park, and getting physical exercise are top priorities for me. I also love all pets with the exception of snakes! I’m a very adaptable, flexible and responsible person. Whatever parents need regarding discipline, rules, food restrictions, verbal affirmations, etc, I am always willing to work within their parameters and adjust and grow in any way necessary. I have loved my journey in childcare so far, and I am very excited to continue on this wonderful path through SmartSitting.

In a film, and writing and directing my own shows and movies. I want to start a non-profit that uses acting and theatre as a form of therapy and a social tool for children with disabilities. I also want to provide more jobs in the industry for people with disabilities. I want to write roles in film and television for them.
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
baking and anything related to the arts such as piano, acting, reading, writing, and painting. I'm a very active person, and I love to take children on outdoor adventures. It's especially fun if they have a dog, and we can all go to the park together for the afternoon! I also love to ride bike and swim.
