About me
Working with children in various capacities has been a huge part of my life for the last 10 years. It all began when a new neighbor needed a sitter for a date night. She happened to run into my mother at the bus stop and the rest is basically history! My journey in childcare began with babysitting for various neighborhood families and transitioned into sharing my love of theatre as a camp counselor in theatre camps all throughout high school. I was able to help teach choreography, music, and basic theatre skills while also helping children collaborate and work together. I got to revisit working in theater during graduate school in London, where I had the honor and privilege to participate in Shakespeare workshops designed for school aged children in England.
Additionally, I've had the good fortune to be able to work for the Walt Disney company bringing to life some of their greatest characters for children and families from around the world! I've loved being able to take stories and characters that are so dear to me and share them with the guests who come to visit. I've always found great joy and pride in engaging and interacting with children. I look forward to many new and amazing experiences through SmartSitting.

In 5 years, I hope to be...
In five years I hope to be able to act on a semi-regular basis, but also have other fulfilling work in my life that isn't related to acting that provides a structure and some work-life balance.
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
The two activities I love to do most with children are reading and playing make believe. I've always been a big reader and lover of books for as long as I can remember, and I just love being able to share wonderful stories and how much fun reading them can be with children. I also always loved playing imagination games as a kid, and as an actor, it's something I still love to do! I think semi-structured, imaginative play is not only fun, but allows children to think things through critically, consider other points of view, and learn to collaborate with the other players in the game.
