About me

My name is Annelise. I am an outgoing, warm hearted, and creative person with a passion for childcare! I am a graduate from Montclair State University where I received a BFA in Musical Theatre. I am now living the dream as an actress and singer in NYC. I have worked professionally in theatre, tv, and film. I love to combine my passion for the arts with my love of working with children. I actively incorporate singing, dancing and playing instruments to my experiences with children. I also enjoy creating our own educational games, and exploring the world inside of a great book or novel.

In the past, I have provided childcare services for multiple families. My experiences include working with children raging from the age of 8 months to fourteen years old. My duties have included picking children up from school and transporting them to after school activities, preparing snack and/or meals, assisting with homework, helping with bath time, and bed time routines. I am one amazing bedtime story teller! I love to encourage and inspire children to explore their own creativity, with fun games, songs, and arts and crafts. Through my childcare positions, I have gained experience working with children with special needs, illnesses, and allergies. I am comfortable with these special circumstances and possess the skills necessary to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the child and family.

My experience also includes working as an instructor in other childcare settings. I have taught Pre-School at both Kidville and Gymboree. In this capacity, I led classes in music, art, dance, and "mommy and me". While teaching, I was given the opportunity to work with infants ranging from five to eight months old as well as toddlers. These experiences has given me a tremendous insight into baby/infant care.
