About me

Since I was barely more than a child myself, I have been told my the adults around me that I'm great with children. I've been happy to discover that something I'm good at is also something I genuinely enjoy - I've loved being a babysitter and nanny in New York City and beyond for the past fifteen years. I tend to align myself with the childcare philosophies of the beloved children's character Mary Poppins; children have an endless capacity for wonder, and I strive to provide a structure in their lives that is consistent with that of their parents or other caregivers, so that they feel empowered and encouraged to explore that wonder as much as possible.

I’ve cared for children of all ages over the past fifteen years, in many different situations: infants to teenagers, twins, multiples, vacation sitting, homework help, tutoring, live-in, live-out, driving, flying, underground and aboveground and on buses and trains and inside limousines, all around New York and far beyond. I find something unique about every child I meet, and I cherish the chance to be a friend, role model, and big sister figure. I try to be someone with whom they can strengthen their imagination and creativity, explore ideas, and trust to make sure they're safe.

I'm a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and have been acting and singing on various stages in the US for the past ten years. I have two younger sisters and two little cousins in my hometown of Ardmore, PA. I currently live in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn.
