About me
Hi, my name is Kimberley Morris and I am a childcare provider with over 8 years experience. I have worked with just about every age group, starting from infants all the way up to teenagers. I am originally from Queens, NY but have lived in New Jersey since I was a young child. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology from Montclair State University. Eventually, I plan to obtain my master's in clinical psychology with a concentration in children/adolescents in hopes of earning certification as a school psychologist.
My philosophy on childcare is to basically treat children the way I would want to be treated! This means to value how they feel and not dismiss them just because they are children. I believe that if you treat a child with real respect and talk to them not at them, it will be easier to connect with them. In terms of discipline, I believe that redirection and also positive reinforcement work wonders and I believe this is what has allowed me to have success in childcare. Thank you for taking the time to ready about me! I look forward to connecting with you and your family.
I have professional child care experience with...
- Infants
- Toddlers
- Preschoolers
- School-aged (K-5)
- Preteen
- Teenagers
- Twins
- Multiples
- Special Needs
In 5 years, I hope to be...
A School Psychologist.
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I love to work on arts and crafts which help to cultivate fine motor skills. I also enjoy storytime which helps foster creativity by allowing the child to 'read' the book by making up their own words to the story.
