About me

My journey in childcare began 8 years ago and I absolutely love working in the field! I have experience working with children ranging from toddler to preteen. In addition to working as a babysitter for families, I have also cared for children outside of the home. For many years, I have worked with special needs children on both an individual basis, as well as working as a coach for Special Olympics. I have worked with a team of special need athletes in sports ranging from bowling to track. I believe that my experience working with children of all physical and mental capacities has taught me to really adapt my childcare to unique children's capacities, skills and interests.

When I am babysitting, I love to explore the creative side of each individual child. Whether through arts and crafts or creative games, I love to work with children in fun and engaging ways. Growing up, I was a child who with a strong spirit of adventure and a bit of a wild side. I believe that children's energetic and life-loving spirit is not one that should be quelled, but rather one that should be appreciated and encouraged as they grow into young adults.

I recently graduated from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota with a degree in Cinema and Media Studies/ East Asian Studies. I am currently living in the East Village and working in the film industry as a production assistant. In the future, I would love to work as a producer. Since graduation, I have exploring various areas of cinema, including micro-budget features about pregnant men, to the new, long-awaited FX pilot Y: The Last Man. Outside of this, I love studying Japanese, reading historical fiction (the Strand is my favorite place!) and exploring and traveling to new places. I also have a lifelong obsession with cats! I am ecstatic to get to know your family!
