About me
I am a native Australian who has been living in the states for three years. Like most Aussies, I love being outside, out and about, and exploring all of the culture that NYC has to offer.
My approach to childcare hinges on creating authentic, mutually respectful relationships with children and parents alike. I love getting to know families, and I believe that there is something to be learned from every encounter we experience. I've worked with children of all ages, from babysitting infants and toddlers, to teaching early education, tutoring high-school English, and even collegiate instruction. Throughout all of these experiences, I have maintained an environment that is equal parts fun and productive, exploratory, joyful and educational.
I hold a masters in fine art from the Rhode Island School of Design! I have also received training in early childhood arts education by the non profit Studio in a School, through which I teach art at public elementary schools throughout the city. I have a ferverent passion for helping children unlock their creative and academic potential, be it through art, music cooking or writing.
