About me

Originally from North Carolina I was born coming out of the womb with jazz hands raised as an only child to a highly theatrical family. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in Musical Theater from Western Carolina Univerity in 2013. After college, I worked professionally as a performer and company manager for an entertainment group at various theme parks, then traveled around the country and internationally to Southeast Asia with the Broadway Tour of “Annie”.

Since then, having moved to New York, it continues to amaze me how much of my journey has been defined by kids. For the past 10 years, I have been humbled and inspired by sitting children in all stages of development from Kindergarten through early teens. From date night sitter to part-time babysitter I have run the gambit. I am able to highlight I am CPR certified, have completed numerous Sexual Harassment Certification Training courses, as well as having a profoundly comprehensive, multidisciplinary experience with special needs.

My wealth of love and engagement that I imbue into the air around me is why children are always orbiting my life — they speak the same language. In that sense, babysitting fits like a glove. My crisp attention to detail, adaptability, astute communication skills, and exuberant personality serve for a caregiving environment that is both positive and proactive. With that, I have extensive experience in personal assisting and administrative consulting, just the same I am currently a professional organizer and life management consultant with In Order To Succeed®. I am well-versed in hectic family schedules operating in a variety of capacities, I am a pescatarian by choice and am familiar with cooking under specific dietary restrictions, I have also lived healthily with Type 1 Diabetes for over 18 years as well as personally coached dozens of children and teens on managing a happy, successful life with the disease.

When sitting children, I attempt to create a world of connection. I believe in authenticity and respect. Through improvisation acting exercises I can lead by example whilst passing along creative skills, character building, confidence, and ultimately cultivate a strong relationship with said child &/or children. It is the perfect give-and-take that I love sharing. They are my best audience.

I am nothing if not engaged and nurturing. One of my favorite quotes that continues to root everything I do is from Nina Simone, “an Artist’s duty, as far as I’m concerned, is to reflect the times.” My goal is to help children create a more loving open-world around us.
