About me

My career in childcare began, believe it or not, at around age ten with my big sister's cat, Henry. Ever since my family saw me dressing Henry up in my doll's clothes, it became clear that I was desperate to be a babysitter. My mother soon surprised me with my first babysitter business cards, much to my delight. So, I've been caring for real children ever since!...much to Henry's delight.

My experience with young people has varied from casual babysitting drop-ins to working in a church nursery to professional atmospheres like classrooms. Through it all, my background in theater has aided me in creating a safe space where the young, free imaginations and rampant creativity kids have can thrive. It is such a joy for me to engage with young people on this artistic level, where I learn so much from them and where I find myself enjoying these childcare positions the most.

About me? I am a goal oriented, positive, empathetic, organized, very tidy, artistic gal. I have been told that I am an old soul. I began to agree with that judgement in college when I discovered I'd rather listen to Edith Piaf and Luciano Pavarotti than pretty much any contemporary music. Now, with that being said, I still enjoy a good time - traveling, dancing with friends and family at home, preparing a great meal for those I love; these are all activities that I hold dear to my heart.

Other than that, important qualities to me are honesty and open, specific, respectful, communication. With these qualities all great work relationships are possible!
Thanks for reading, cheers!
