About me

Coming from a family of teachers, I have always known working with children would be a part of my life. After a Bachelors and Masters degree in Theatre, I have continued to find myself teaching, advising, and caring for kids. Whether their inquisitive nature or their unwavering excitement for something new, the passion and compassion that children have towards one another never fails to amaze me. My philosophy includes mixing fun with structure, all while being safe and respectful to ourselves and one another.

I enjoy spending time outdoors, going to the beach, arts and crafts, reading, and cooking. Having worked in a residential program, I am well versed in dietary restrictions, allergies, food prep, administering medications, and transporting children via vehicle. I have had crisis as well as CPR and EPI pen training.

As a theatre maker, I bring my creativity and love of make believe to any job I perform and as a previous environmental education teacher, I bring my love of discovery and exploration. Through my experience, I have continued to learn and grown into a better teacher and caretaker, but one thing has remained the same. Working with children has and continues to make me a better person and I hope to bring that same knowledge and compassion into your children's lives.
