About me

My name is Rachel and I am a native New Yorker! My mom worked for 30 years as a teacher and I'm pretty positive she passed on her love of children to me. I believe what separates me from most childcare professionals is my belief in the humanity and capacity of each child I meet. It never fails to amaze me the depth of courage, joy of living, and curiosity that the children I meet possess, and I hope that I've allowed some of that to rub off on me as well!

I've worked with babies to teenagers and have the most experience with after school sitting, which includes homework help, transporting to and from activities, and simple dinner prep.

I am an actor and writer and have an assortment of hobbies and personal interests (I love music, play the guitar and am super committed to my football team - (GO PATRIOTS!)), so it's not hard for me to find common ground with the children I meet! My training in the arts makes me highly sensitive to both the interior and exterior lives of the little people I watch and it also has given me a passion for creating safe spaces where kids can feel heard and seen.

I love inspiring children to explore the things that spark their curiosity and feel I'm very skilled at helping children feel empowered, safe, and supported, no matter their age.
