About me

I've been working with children for more than 10 years now. I work in New York as an actor/filmmaker. I value kindness, gratitude, character, and learning; and feel it is important to instill these traits in the next generation. So when I'm not doing that through my acting, I can't think of a better way to spend my time than hanging out with and caring for kids!

Since moving to New York, I've worked as a babysitter on the Upper West Side for the last 4 years--caring for toddlers to teenagers--and I love to play with kids and engage their imaginations with games and educational-yet-fun activities. Children have such open minds and I love their sense of adventure and merriment.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts, so acting, filmmaking, singing, and dancing are more than just my hobbies, they're my career. I also play the violin and piano (I could give some lessons for any budding musicians out there!) I love music of all kinds--classical, jazz, rock, Broadway etc.--and believe that exposure to the arts is essential for kids. And where's a better place than New York City to explore the arts?

I'm great with homework [especially English and History...Math, maybe not so much ;) ] and always help the kids with their schoolwork. Being home schooled myself until college, I am extremely self-motivated--and strive to help the kids to be the same--and I work very well one-on-one with them.
