About me

For the past fifteen+ years, I have been providing childcare, (FT/PT, live-in/out)for families in Chicago, New Orleans, and NYC. I graduated from DePaul University in 2011, with a Bachelor's of Music in Music Education. I completed some coursework towards my Master's of Social Work, at Tulane University, in New Orleans.

I have significant training and experience with Montessori and Waldorf methods, as well as RIE and other educational systems. My childcare experience spans from [newborn] twins and multiples, newborns, infants, toddlers, and children of all ages, and I am comfortable with any age range. I have significant experience with the 0-5 age range, in setting boundaries in a “firm but loving” way. I enjoy running around with, playing with, and learning from children. I follow the caregiver's philosophy as requested, and my only addition is that I try to maintain a healthy, active, and fulfilling lifestyle, and provide that for clients as well.

I am definitely a jack of all trades, and one of my passions is cooking, nutrition, and wellness, so I am happy to cook for your children and/or family as well. I also have experience with household management, organizing, and all aspects of PA roles. I am available for domestic and international travel and have a valid passport. I love the water and being outdoors, and am a strong swimmer. I have significant experience caring for animals, and would love to care for your pets as well. Though I do not own a car, I do have a valid driver's license. I grew up in a big city, and I am extremely familiar and comfortable with public transportation. I am fluent/conversational in Italian, and Spanish, as well as some German & French. I have significant experience working with high profile and celebrity families, in formal and fully staffed settings.

I have been a student and instructor of Seido Karate and Mixed Martial Arts for eighteen years. My background in physical (martial) and musical education provides me with a good basis for interacting with children of all ages and learning styles. I am an excellent communicator and have a high attention to detail, while providing a safe and creative environment for your children to thrive. I strive to embody a “firm, but loving and fun” attitude with your loved ones.
