About me

Hi! My name is Mary Kate, and I am a loving, kind, and energetic New Yorker! A native Wisconsinite, I left the midwest at 18 to attend college at NYU where I graduated with honors in 2013 with a BFA in dance and a BA in History. Since then, I have been performing in concert dance and musical theater; I just got off the 1st National Tour of Finding Neverland! When I'm not performing, I love to fill my days with work with children, whether that be through teaching dance, tutoring academics, or babysitting! I have been privately tutoring and babysitting in the city for the past 8 years and have experience with infants and kids of all different backgrounds, abilities, and interests.

I love working with children! For me, they revive my energy and are a fresh way to view the world- I love to run around, play games, and see the joy and life in playful children. Kids like me because I’m right there with them in their games! My absolute favorite part of working with kids is teaching them something new. The feeling of seeing a kid tie their shoes for the first time, successfully perform an arabesque, or even figure out a new way of putting legos together is amazing! It renews my sense of love for the world!
