About me

Ever since I was in junior high, I have understood the value of having an impact on a child’s life. During that time, I had the opportunity to work with kids as a crucial leader for a children’s theatre camp. Ever since then I have loved working with children. In college, I was the music director for a kid’s theatre program at the local community theatre. I also babysat for various families throughout school.

I have seen the differences in how children communicate, need, react, and want in all ages. Having studied theatre in college, I can provide a positive, fun, collaborative, and respectful environment, while also being organized and flexible. I am a great cook and can follow any basic dietary instruction, and have a hidden love of baking. As a theatre artist, I can entertain with crafts and imaginative activities, encouraging children to develop in all areas of the arts. Additionally, I was actively involved in intramural sports from junior high through college, and therefore understand the value of physical activity.

I whole-heartedly believe that childcare and education go hand in hand, and lessons can be taught through active experience, while understanding that each child is unique. Through enthusiasm, patience, kindness, and care, I strive to provide an excellent child care experience.
