About me

As a School Social Worker and a babysitter, I think it is pretty clear that I LOVE kids! I am constantly inspired by the way in which they see the world, their fearlessness to learn and try new things, and the seemingly endless resilience they have to overcome challenge and grow. I have been lucky to work with middle schoolers, ages 10 to 16, in the public school system in NYC for four years and occasionally, have babysat children ranging from newborns to 12 years old.

What I particularly love about caring for children is the ability to support them while also giving them a part of myself. It is an exciting opportunity to share my own personality and passions with families. I love to share stories of the places I have traveled, speak and sing songs in Spanish, dance and listen to music, and read books (I know all the great Young Adult novels!).

I also have always had a great skill in developing strong bonds with both children and their parents. For kids, it is crucial to get to know their unique greatness by providing them a safe and supportive space to express themselves, work together to solve challenges, and most importantly, have fun. With families, I have always had a great admiration for what it means to be parent and enjoy working together to support the family through clear communication, empathy, and a deep sense of care and concern for their family's needs.

I hope I will have obtained my doctorate in Social Work while also continuing to work within the public school system providing social-emotional supports to students, families, and their community. Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I really enjoy teaching mindfulness and other positive coping skills to children as it provides them with tools that can serve them all the way into adulthood. I also love to share my love of dance, music, reading, and travel.
