About me
I'm an avid runner, reader, dog lover, and chocolate chip cooker baker. I received my degree in Musical Theatre from Temple University in Philadelphia, and moved to New York to keep pursuing my career as an actor! Since moving to New York I've fallen in love with the comedy scene, and have been taking improv classes at UCB, as well as writing and performing original sketches and stand up around the city. When I'm not performing, I love to crochet, knit, and do embroidery, attempt a new baking recipe while watching The Great British Baking Show, organize game nights for my friends and I, and explore the city. I’m also very active in social justice issues, and frequently volunteer around my neighborhood.
Babysitting is the first job I ever had! I started as a mother’s helper in my neighborhood when I was 11, and since then I have watched children from as young as 4 months to as old as 14 years! I am comfortable and experienced with after school pick up, preparing meals and snacks, assisting with homework and big school projects, nap time, changing diapers, bath time, and bed time routines.
I’ve also taught kids of all ages and children with special needs. I’ve been a camp counselor at day time and overnight camps. As a camp counselor at a non-theater overnight acting camp, I developed several activities for the campers that introduced them to mediums like improv, stand up, and dance. What I think was most effective was that I was able to include and engage a wide age range, of 10 to 14 year olds. After giving them a few examples and guide lines, I encouraged and guided them in creating their own work. I think that helps the children grow more, feel proud, and have ownership of their individual artistry.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
When I babysit, I like to use my passions to get kids off the couch and outside playing! I’m the kind of babysitter who is playing on the playground right along with the kids. I use my high energy to keep kids engaged and having a blast. If it’s a rainy day, I love to teach kids how to knit or crochet, or work on any other number of arts and crafts. I also love how big kids’ imaginations can be and pride myself on being able to keep up when it comes to make believe :). I like to encourage creativity and problem solving by encouraging children to try and answer their own questions.
