About me

Hello! I'm a native of Memphis, TN living in Brooklyn. I graduated from Columbia University in 2017 with a B.A. in Dance and Gender Studies. Since graduating I've been working as a Creative Movement teacher at a pre-school in Astoria, Queens, teaching dance in schools and after school programs across the city, babysitting, and working professionally as a dancer and choreographer.

I love spending time with kids because of the whimsy and curiosity they have for life. Some of my other interests include wellness, yoga, herbalism, social and environmental justice and ethnobotany. In my free time I enjoy attending performances, reading, going to art galleries and museums, tending to my garden, and baking healthy treats. I am more than happy to incorporate these interests into childcare if that is something your family is interested in. I am also a Reiki practitioner, meditator, and a Birth and Post-Partum Doula.

My ethos for childcare and raising children is that it takes a village. It took a village to raise me, and I recognize how important it is for children to be surrounded by adults who are invested in their growth and development. I am invested in a cultivating community that supports our children to lead us in the future.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

In five years I hope to be a successful artist and healer using my work to create healing and transformation in our society.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love to teach dancing, drawing, baking, and practical herbalism. I also love just being a goofball and having fun with our imaginations by playing dress up or engaging children through fantasy and magic. Nature walks are a favorite activity of mine and I enjoy immersing children in the magic of nature.
