About me

I'm a fun loving, passionate and caring individual with over ten years experience working with children, including babysitting, nannying/ au pair, tutoring and teaching. Every single one of those experiences and skills have enabled me to contribute to each childs moral and intellectual growth.

Being a teacher has allowed me to effectively plan, implement and supervise activities for a large group of children of all ages. When you work with a large group of children, you get a large group of talent, and they are all unique in their own way. Teaching has made me capable of incorporating fun, creative learning strategies and activities to help children discover their inner talents, and has taught me the importance of differentiation. It has enabled me to build strong connections with children while gaining their respect at the same time and watching them grow each day into wonderful human beings.

Through my babysitting and au pair experiences, I have become skilled at every aspect of childcare, such as supervising activities at home and outside of home, providing ongoing care and making sure that children are always in a safe environment. I am adept at managing day-to-day activities such as cooking, meal preparation, bathing, dressing and changing diapers and preparing formulas/ baby food. I am energetic and enjoy being a part of fun-filled activities with children and participting in all their adventures. I am also creative and find it easy to elaborate games that are interactive and that children take pleasure in.

I am fluent in Spanish and through my teaching backround am very able to facilitate the acquisition of a new language to children which is something I truly enjoy doing, as I myself try to learn new words here and there from as many languages as I can. My interests include travel/cultures, cooking (primarily healthy food), reading & writing, music, art ( I enjoy painting), and animals. Being around children brings out the best in me and definitely allows me to cultivate what im passionate for and my hobbies into their lives, which i find that in the end, those things always seems to interest them more than myself even!
