About me

Hi! I'm Amanda and I'm a NYS Certified Music Teacher. I have five years of teaching experience and over ten years of childcare experience. I sincerely enjoy caring for children of all ages, and that's why I pursued teaching as a career. Having worked with students between the ages of 6 months and 18 years, I have a specialized skill set and great flexibility to be a fantastic caretaker. I find equal joy in playing on the floor with toddlers and reading or playing board games with older children.

As a caregiver, I am warm, kind, fun, reliable, and passionate about what I do. I love to be silly and embrace my inner child to make myself accessible to children. It's important to get to know your children so that I may accommodate their needs to the best of my ability. I'm equally happy taking children out exploring, or staying at home and engaging them in play. It's exciting to have the chance to help children learn and grow as I care for them. Rainy days and sunny days present equal opportunities for enjoyment! My favorite part of past childcare jobs has been the sweet conversations with kids, whether we're recapping the day before bedtime or having meaningful discussions over a yummy meal.

I pride myself on being consistent with family routines and working as a partner with parents to ensure a positive experience for your children. I have experience working with multiple children, and am also comfortable working with children with special needs. It would be an honor to help care for your children and provide them with the loving care that they deserve!
