About me

I am a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a unique work history that spans from being a performance artist and Broadway dresser to working in development in Africa. I created teen-based curriculums for the Rockefeller Foundation in Zimbabwe, and also managed the manufacture and distribution of school uniforms for Oprah Winfrey’s Angel Network in South Africa. I have a background working in early childhood development teaching for Gymboree in Atlanta and NYC. I also created curriculum and taught for a preschool cooperative of doctors and nurses working at Cornel Weill Hosptital. I have worked as a nanny for several children on the spectrum, and for a very rambunctious 6-year-old boy with sensory processing issues, and his rock star of a sister!

Overall, the past 15+ years have seen me transition from functioning primarily as a theater artist on Broadway & Off (both offstage & on) to working in more diverse settings. This is an evolution that has required an elasticity of thought and a willingness to meet new challenges that have made me an asset wherever I have worked. However, after spending time aligning my skill set as a performer and creative thinker to a myriad of administrative and managerial challenges, both here and abroad, I find what moves me most is impacting the lives of children as a teacher and a caregiver, as it’s one of the things I do best! As a former kid who was super smart and eager to learn (but not the best student) I'm endlessly fascinated by how children think and how they learn. I have a real talent for making learning, or as I like to call it, "the journey of discovery," a lot of fun!
