About me

I am a student who has had a passion for using my voice for those who are too afraid to use their own, but also helping others find their own voice. I have always connected with children and find that they connect with me just as much. I have worked as a babysitter, nursery volunteer, camp volunteer, and tutored a few students. I love animals! With that, I am a very loving person with a strong sense to love and teach children the positive things of our world and how everyone can make a difference. I have worked for a Princess Party business, giving girls tea parties and fun makeovers, but emphasizing the point that no matter how sparkly your tiara is, true beauty comes from within. I have been babysitting in the city for almost five years, most recently preparing a young boy for school in the morning. The position included making breakfast, getting him dressed, finishing homework, giving him his medication, and taking him across town to school.
I believe in being a kid and having fun (while still being smart and respectful). I like to ditch the iPads and video games for a walk outside, reading a new story, making up a different ending to a story, making up new games to play at home, creating crafts or food just for the fun of it, and singing songs or dancing.
The world is a big and scary place for a child, and sometimes for us adults, but a little bit of music and imagination can remind us of the innocence of being a kid. A child's imagination is such a unique and wonderful place that should be explored, especially if they are of the age of being in school all day. I could listen to a child go on imaginative rabbit trails for hours, because it is the place of emotion and felling that music evolves from, as well as a reminder that the world isn't too much of a scary place after all. In fact, it is a beautiful place, and I want to show that to children.
