About me

As the middle of five children, and growing up in a tight-knit, large family, I have always been drawn to the magic that is so innately inherent to little kids. I still remember getting my first baby doll as a fourth birthday present and feeling in some ways that my ‘maternal instinct’ kicked in ever since. Kids have always seemed drawn to my warmth, enthusiasm, and creativity which landed me my very first babysitting job for three young children when I was just thirteen. This was before the time of iPhones/iPads, and I fine-tuned my babysitting skills the old-fashioned way: playing house, hide-and-go-seek, reading and acting out bedtime stories, specializing in meal prep for toddlers with picky palates, and curating games tailored to each child’s preferences from my own imagination.

Since these early days of my babysitting tenure, I have been incredibly grateful to hold a special place in the childhood memories of families who I still deem very near and dear to my heart. Growing up with a single mother who worked full-time, I recognized what a special role and place a babysitter can have in a household, and feel this has uniquely positioned me to stay and grow with so many families over the years. Being a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at the moment, and learning about how integral every day can truly be in the development of children, I do not take this role as a childcare provider lightly. I love integrating creativity and learning into play and find no greater pride than being part of the endless sea of possibilities and growth that are part of each new day in a child’s life.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I'm incredibly creative and artistic, have been known to sketch and doodle anything from Batman to ice-cream cones and unicorns. I love any kind of creative play, and really try to step into the imaginative world that is inherent to children and childhood itself.
