About me

I am from a big family and have always worked with children. I hold a masters degree in Child Development and a post-graduate fellowship in Infant-Parent Mental Health. I have worked in non-profits, child welfare, and hospitals, but I am most fulfilled when working directly with families as a nanny. I regularly contribute to parenting blogs, I sit on the board of South Bronx Early Headstart and am looking to work with more families in New York.

I am a firm believer that I am an addition to a family ecosystem, not a replacement for a parent. Children benefit from having many healthy people around them and it's always a privilege to be invited into someone's home to support them and their child. I am hardworking, curious and dedicated. Nearly every family I have ever worked with is still in touch with me and I try to make sure I can still be as present for them as possible.

I have experience as a full-time nanny for high profile families but I'm just as happy being a date night sitter for a family up the road. I have experience with everything from newborn care to school pick up and tutoring. I have found nannying to be far more educational than any academic experience I have. That said, I know my academic background gives me a healthy, nonjudgmental and informed perspective that has helped many families.

relationships. Being present with a toddler on a trip to the grocery store is much more enriching for them than giving them the best toy to play with on their own. I like spending time outdoors, I don't like using electronics, I think it's worth taking a child to the museum or even just on the subway to broaden their perspective.
