About me

I began my childcare career high school, as an assistant acting teacher at a summer camp. There, I met a number of families that I kept in touch with and babysat for many years. I continued teaching acting to children in many capacities, and also worked as a front desk associate at a Hebrew School.

After high school, I spent a year living in Israel and working in a low-income neighborhood. There, I spent every day with children- I was a scouts troop leader for 5th grade boys and 10th grade girls, I assistant taught 1st and 5th grade, I tutored 5th, 6th, and 11th grade kids, and I founded and ran a nonprofit after-school care program for kids aged 2-12, for which I won an award for excellence in community service. I also mentored a number of high school sophomores and juniors.

In the schools, I worked one on one with kids who were having difficulty in the classroom setting and helped them develop skills and the confidence necessary to succeed. That year was an honor and a privilege and solidified my passion for working with children.

In college, I studied theater directing and psychology and took a number of child development classes. I continued to babysit occasionally for a number of families, as well as working with new ones. Those babysitting endeavors are always fun because they are ever changing!

I have experience putting children to bed, doing light meal prep, and administering medication to sick children. I also have experience taking kids out and about, to the park, Appleseeds, or various after-school programs. Currently, I still babysit and have become very close with a number of the families I've met through them. I also coordinate the children's program at a synagogue on Saturday mornings for a group of about 15 kids aged 2-12. I am very excited to meet your family and look forward to getting to know you!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love cooking with children and helping them develop those skills for the future. I also love making art and playing games! I learned a number of improv games over the years that children love and that help them develop creatively.
