About me
Hi, I'm Evan! I've been a professional actor since the age of 16 and moved to New York in 2013. When I am not working on a musical or in television, I love to spend my time babysitting. It has been one of my favorite jobs since arriving in the city, and I couldn't ask for a better job! I love kids so much and getting to spend my days with them brings me so much joy. I'm able to handle any amount of kids, but in the past, I've had up to three kids at one time. I love working with all ages; I can change diapers for toddlers, help with homework with high schoolers, and everything in between!
Being one of the older kids on my block growing up, I’ve always had a responsibility to watch out for the younger children in my neighborhood. At an early age, I began babysitting and caring for several families on my block. It became routine to receive phone calls to watch the younger kids for date nights or after school hours, and I soon had a roster that kept me very busy. I learned a lot about how to care for kids from diverse family backgrounds and developed a well-rounded understanding of how to work with children.
Additionally, when I was living back in Wisconsin, I was the lead youth sailing instructor at the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center during summers. I was responsible for large groups of children between the ages of 8-17, who I taught the basics and racing techniques of sailing. I loved spending the summer getting to know these kids and watching them grow. Seeing ideas click into place and the learning “lightbulbs” going off in their brains was one of the most rewarding experiences that I’ve had.
My childcare experience continued to grow throughout college and eventually when I moved to New York in 2013. I've worked with families with up to 3 children and have experience with kids between the ages of 1-13; I can change diapers for toddlers, help with homework for high schoolers, and everything in between!
A little more about myself...I am a Midwestern guy at heart, originally from Milwaukee, WI. I grew up with a perfect balance of nature and city. Within a 30 minute radius, I could be in the middle of the woods, hiking a mountain, exploring the city, or sailing on the water. I loved getting the chance to grow up with such a vast amount of opportunities so close to my vicinity. As a child, I was interested in lots of different activities. I dipped my feet in just about every single sport and artistic endeavor, and after exploring lots of possibilities, I eventually stuck with a few favorites. I spent a lot of my youth as a part of the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center, eventually becoming the lead instructor for the racing department. I got varsity letters in Volleyball, Tennis, and Diving. I became our marching band's drum major, leading us to the distinguished state competition and across the ocean for New Year's Day parades in both London and Paris. I was also the valedictorian of our high school, graduating with honors.
My true passion has always been the theatre. I began my life in theatre at the ripe age of 10 as the groundhog in Snow White. From that moment I was hooked. I continued to explore my love for theatre, eventually working my way up to the professional level while in high school. I had the wonderful opportunity to work downtown at some of the most distinguished theaters in the heart of the arts district. From there I went on to graduate from Indiana University with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Business. Since graduating I have appeared off-broadway in a handful of shows, in both national and international tours, worked at several of the most elite regional theaters, and have dabbled in the world of television.
I try to apply everything I have learned thus far in my life to my work in babysitting. I love the innocence of childhood and the excitement of everything that's ahead of them. I love that every child is different and has so much to offer the world. I love exploring their passions and imaginations and giving them opportunities to expand their minds and welcome new thoughts for the world in front of them. I think it's so important to have a balance of fun, activities, entertainment but also know the importance of education. I think there are ways to apply what we see every day to our lives and grow from every experience. What I have learned from all of my travels abroad is that there is an infinite amount cultural experiences to absorb from the world around us. If we can open our minds to different perspectives, we can become better people to serve our society.
I'm a fun-loving guy with lots of energy to share with children. I'm reliable, responsible, kind, and considerate. I'm someone who can engage children in fun activities as well as use my artistic abilities to create a well-balanced childhood. Above all I just want to share my joy and love with everyone around me. Hope to meet you soon!

In 5 years, I hope to be...
My goal is to find joy in whatever I do. I am on a constant journey to discover the utmost happiness in my life. I am extremely satisfied with where I am right now on this journey, but know there is always room to grow. I hope to be at a place in my career where I am artistically fulfilled- whether that is being in a broadway musical, having regular appearance on television, or something that I have yet to discover. The most important thing is that I'm happy doing what I'm doing.
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I love singing and dancing with children! I think that is something that kids all enjoy, and also is a great educational tool. I think my artistic sensibilities really help when we are discovering what to do for the day. I love to paint, color, play make-believe, dress up, tell stories. I think another great thing about me is my love for sports. I love to get outside and throw a football, play catch, and especially love playing tennis and volleyball. I am open to learning new sports and skills; one of the kids I used to watch was quite advanced in Hockey, so he actually taught me how to play so we could play together.
