About me

I was born in Kissimmee, Florida where I was raised with my 7 younger siblings. I feel that growing up the oldest of 8 shaped me into the man I am today. My parents instilled in me, at a young age, values like responsibility, organization, time management, and communication, which were all skills I focused on as I assisted around the house and watched my younger siblings. When I went into middle school, I realized that I could use those skills to help other families who didn’t have an older brother like me to help out. Through our church, I met the first family I ever babysat for professionally, and I remained their sitter for many years.

As I went to high school and started learning which hobbies I wanted to turn into career choices, I was stuck all 4 years between becoming a Pediatrician or an Actor (two very similar career paths). I attended the local community college while still completing high school and received both my Diploma and my Associates of Arts Degree when I graduated in 2012. Throughout high school, I continued to use my passion for family and childhood education through volunteering at the local elementary schools, becoming a camp counselor every summer, and taking on a second family which I babysat for all throughout my senior year and the summer leading up to college.

I ended up choosing the career path which led me to New York City to study a double major in Musical Theater and Politics at New York University. I graduated from NYU in May of 2016 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. As an actor, none of my survival jobs gives me as much joy and fulfillment as working with children and families. As a person who sings, acts, dances, and writes music I love seeing how creative the young mind can be and treasure the opportunity to watch them learn and experience the world around them. Since moving to New York, I have taught reading and writing comprehension at a preschool, served as a temporary Nanny for a family with a pair of two-year old twins, and am currently pursuing an Online Master of Public Administration from the University of Central Florida.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

In 5 years years my ultimate dream would be to be performing on a Broadway stage every night in front of a New York audience. Ever since I saw my first Broadway musical, Lion King, in sixth grade, I have dreamed of being up there on that stage sharing my love of the arts with an audience.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

Some of my favorite skills and activities to teach and share with children are dancing and singing, arts and crafts, making cards for family members or teachers, helping them with that one math problem that they cannot seem to figure out until the lightbulb switches on in their heads and they have the "aha" moment, going on a walk or to a local park, and baking or cooking.
