About me

Hi! I graduated from NYU with a BFA in Drama and a minor in Entertainment Business. I also had an academic focus on classes in the Childhood and Adolescent Mental Health Studies program. While I learned a broad scope of child psychology, I was also able to focus on topics like childhood morality (and how to foster it), effects of divorce on children, and how to foster happiness. I am also CPR certified!

I have done long term, short term, and random date night babysitting in the city. From Jan 2020 to September 2020, I was a full time nanny for a 1 year old. For a year, I babysat 10 hours weekly for a family with 5 kids(a 12 year old, 20 month triplets, and a 10 month old[he was born 3 months early and had needed some specialized attention]) For a little over a year, I did after school sitting for a 10 year old girl and occasionally her 13 year old brother. For about 8 months I did after school sitting for a 5 year old and a 7 year old (who had some sensory issues). I also babysat a 6 year old everyday after camp for a summer.

For date night or last minute work coverage sitting, I have babysat from 3 months to 14 years old. I've also worked with kids who have specialized needs.

My first two summers of college, I was a lifeguard at Sesame Place- a park designed for kids 7 and under. That taught me how to keep multiple young children safe in chaotic and water-filled environments. In 2016, I worked at a performing and visual art sleep-away camp where I lived with 12 girls ages 7-11. I also taught a variety of drama classes (including improv, stage combat, and puppet theatre) and lead fun camp activities for campers ages 7-17. For almost 4 years, I hosted parties and special events at Kidville. I was responsible for getting kids excited and supervising them during arts, gym, and pizza time.

I try to be very positive, and I'm not afraid to be goofy or put myself out there!

In 5 years, I hope to be...

making a positive difference in the world. I also hope I'm acting professionally. (or have at least gotten the chance to cry on Law & Order).

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love doing creative activities. In the past, kids and I have made up plays, created new games, done arts and crafts, created our own "escape rooms" and made up goofy songs and dances. I love playing outside. I think there are endless activities to be found outside. (when it's weather appropriate!) I also love board games and reading, whether it's me reading to kids or them reading to me!
