About me

Hi! I am a Boston native and NYU Tisch graduate looking for part-time childcare opportunities. I have been singing and acting for over ten years and I enjoy bringing art into my education work in order to allow children the freedom and safety to express themselves in a positive environment. Over the past 5 years I have made a career shift from theater to child focused environments. I am passionate about working with children of all ages and abilities and have sought out opportunities to work and research in ESL programs, shelters, schools, and hospitals to expand my knowledge.

Growing up as the oldest of three children and 13 grandchildren I have been taking care of younger children essentially for my entire life, but in a professional capacity for roughly ten years. I have worked with many families throughout MA and NY as a caretaker, camp counselor, tutor (English, math, history, science), acting coach, and Super Soccer Stars Soccer/Pre-Soccer Coach with children ranging in age from 6 months - twelve years. I taught pre school in a mixed classroom (2s-4s) and the Murray Hill Wee Ones Club (half day program) and Vivvi (full day program). Most recently, I became an ABA behavior technician to work on behavior plans with children on the autism spectrum, and am currently working full time at Hassenfeld children’s hospital designing program for and normalizing the experience for patients 0-18.

My favorite part of working with children is the ability to see the world through a different set of eyes and to have a unique opportunity to learn. Children can offer such a fresh perspective on things, it never fails to amaze me. My favorite activities are arts and crafts, reading, "make-believe" games, singing, and dancing - I also love to cook! I am highly organized and passionate about my work and would love an opportunity to meet your family!
