About me
I always loved being with children. It was this love for being around them that I pursued a career in teaching. My first experience was being a volunteer teacher for less privileged children in the Philippines and becoming a religious ed teacher.
After completing my degree in Psychology at UCLA, I was a teacher's assistant in a Montessori school. I continued my education by completing the Montessori teaching certificate, and after a year I became a lead teacher. I have handled classrooms as large as 32 students with 2 assistants with me.
Later on, I completed the coursework in becoming a public school teacher in California. I remained working at the Montessori school because it allowed me to work close to my children since they attended the school. Then I decided to stay at home with my children to homeschool them. We had so many adventures and I am grateful for the opportunities it brought us. One of those opportunities was being able to come to New York so my children could follow their dreams of performing on Broadway.
Now settled in New York and following working with a SmartFamily for the last year and a half, and another family for about a year, I am hoping to find another wonderful family again. I am hardworking and will provide your children a secure, loving, structured environment. I would love to read, sing, play, do arts and crafts and visit museums as well as come up with a variety of activities with them.
