About me
I knew, even as a child, that my life would be centered around taking care of others. My parents called me their nurse, because I was always ready with a band-aid for a cut finger, or a bowl of soup to get rid of a cold. I started taking care of kids as soon as I could, volunteering in my neighborhood church daycare at the age of 12, and I haven't stopped since. At that age, my love for taking care of others, while incredibly strong, was unrefined. Thankfully, over the past 10 years, I've been lucky enough to work with kids from infancy to middle school, and I cherish the unique particulars that come with working with each age. From this experience, have been able to pinpoint exactly why I love to work with kids.
My passion for providing children with the best environment to grow in is the driving force behind why I do what I do. From my experience, I find it incredibly important to maintain a safe and stable environment that respects and nurtures a child’s autonomy and self-expression. I believe that art, music, and dance are absolutely vital to create that environment. I danced for around 14 years and did choir throughout high school, so I would be lying if I said I didn’t have a flair for a dramatic production. I feel that my childhood desire to take care of others translated into my desire to create a place for kids to learn skills that will help them become self-sufficient, well rounded adults later in life.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
Self-sufficiency! Children who feel confident in their ability to complete a task on their own after mastering it, are confident in leading and helping others to do the same. I love to give kids responsibility and watch them flourish with the pride of a job well done--all by themselves!
