About me

I didn't know how much I really loved working with kids until I worked at Camp Kippewa for Girls, and realized all of the love and light children bring into the world and to those around them. This is where I learned how to work with many different types of kids from all different kinds of backgrounds and experiences. Being from a tiny rural town in West Virginia, it was so cool to meet young girls who were growing up in big cities or foreign countries. I learned a lot those summers, both about childcare and work ethic, but also about myself and about the inner child we all have inside us.

At Camp Kippewa for Girls in Maine (2016 & 2017). I was a Campus Leader, worked with girls from ages 7-15, and taught music and drama. I loved how inspiring and fun the girls were!

My in-home experiences range from my time in high school to present day. In college I frequently babysat for my voice teachers two girls Frannie (then age 10) and Angie (age 7) for date nights and while their parents were at rehearsals. While both of the girls are very creative and artistic, they both have very different personalities; Frannie is quiet and sensitive while Angie is extroverted and a bit stubborn. A typical night with the girls consisted of helping out with any remaining homework, playing and creating music, or coloring/art projects. We would eat dinner and then get ready for bed. This structure has been pretty typical for most of my babysitting experience!

A West Virginia girl at heart, I am at my happiest when surrounded by nature. I love hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, etc. I come from a family that always had music playing in the house, so I am passionate about both playing and listening to music. My current instruments are piano, guitar, ukulele, bass guitar, and mandolin (along with singing of course!) and have experience teaching music to children. I'm a Pilates teacher in the city and have danced since I was two. I also have experience teaching dance and yoga to kids.

I studied Musical Theatre at Ball State University, graduating in May of 2017, and now live in New York to audition and write.
