About me

Twenty two years ago I got the opportunity to help raised my 5 month old niece. After holding her in my arms and soothing her, a wave of joy washed over me; it was in that moment I fell in love with helping children. After this experience, I started teaching Sunday School at age 12 (which I still do to this day) and developed a passion for childcare, wanting to be around them more each day.

Now I'm happy to say I have over 16 years of full-time paid nanny experience, working with several families who generously welcomes me into their homes to become a part of their beautiful children's lives.

I've worked with children ranging from ages 5 months through 16 years. I've worked with multiple children at once, twins, and children with special needs both on and off the spectrum. I'm very passionate about children and always treat them as special, interesting, people. The qualities that families have told me they appreciate most about me are my patience, understanding, and ability to be nurturing as well as being an active listener who understands the unique needs of families and children.

It's just a joy for me to work with children to teach them new things, while learning from and with them. Even though reading is one of my favorite things to do with children, I also love having creative fun with them by going outdoors, doing projects, having picnics, baking and going on excursions to museums, zoos, libraries, etc. I strive to maintain a safe and healthy environment, while helping children improve academically, mentally, socially and physically; to see children at different stages of growth and development brings me the satisfaction of peace and tranquility, and I'm humbled to find another family who'll give me the opportunity to be a part of their children's lives.
