About me

Being six and eight years older than my siblings, I have grown up with a “mom” mentality - always wanting to be the best big sister I could be. My big sister skills proved helpful when I began babysitting children other than my siblings in high school. This continued through out college and hasn’t stopped since moving to New York City three and a half years ago. I have had the fortune of working with children of all ages, from poopy diapers to playing with barbies to helping with homework.

I love to cook, work out, clean my apartment, read, and participate in hands on activities such as coloring and arts and crafts. My performance skills combined with my love for children has led to wonderful job opportunities such as working as a two-year-old teacher for my church’s Mother’s Day Out program, helping lead worship for Vacation Bible School, and even working as “Cinderella” for children’s birthday parties.

When working with children, I create a positive and welcoming environment with safety being first priority. Although homework and responsibilities are essential for a child’s development, I believe creating an artistic and creative environment can only improve their ability to achieve and excitement to learn. My left-handed, creative side combined with my love for mathematics and structure allows me to create a balanced attentive yet playful environment for the children I am babysitting.
