About me

Hi i'm Heather, a career nanny from Michigan. I have been in New York for 5 years, and love it here. I love to explore the city, as well as get out into the country. I love hockey, baking, and running in my off time. I am pursuing my education in psychology online while I spend my days Monday through Friday with kids! :) I love helping children learn at all ages, they are remarkable and ever changing, and I love to be a positive part of that growth. As a nanny I want to keep kids engaged while they are with me, whether its mentally or physically, we stay busy! I have ten years of formal experience from newborn to middle school aged, and feel very comfortable and confident around kids. My personality can be goofy and silly, when i'm engaging children, and I have had numerous parents walk in and start laughing along with us. People would describe me as happy and bubbly, and I love to be around kids of all ages.

Although the kids are my focus, I am used to being a part of the family 'team' and I am happy to help out in any way you need, be it running errands for the parents, taking kids to buy shoes, helping with dinner, or light tidying for the family.I love to cook healthy meals, and I am comfortable cooking and serving meals to the family. I have experience with childhood allergies, and have experience with an epi-pen. I love to get children out in an active way, and that includes the pool. I love to get in and splash around. I'm no swim instructor, but I am a safe and capable swimmer, and love to swim with children. I am comfortable traveling with the family and independently. I love to take kids on public transit, or in cabs, and I am a NY state licensed driver with a clean record.
