About me

I am a recent graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and I've worked as a babysitter since I was 12 years old. I have worked with children at all stages of development from newborns to teenagers, both boys and girls. I love to read but I understand that not all children learn that way and it's important to learn things by doing hands-on activities. I have experience editing papers and tutoring for spanish and science. I enjoy arts and crafts, coloring books, and watching movies like Despicable Me and Rio but I also really enjoy doing activities outside.

During my time at UT, I worked as the head of a mentorship program for Middle School girls, preparing them for college as well as working on leadership skills. I was also a part of a mentorship program called The Texas Interdisciplinary Program which provided weekly leadership trainings throughout the course of one semester in order to become a certified Peer Mentor.

In my experience working with children, I have found that creativity and fun are equally as important as structure and building trust. I am very organized and detail oriented which make great skills for activity/event planning. I have experience cooking all kinds of foods and I love learning new recipes. Overall, I would definitely describe myself as a "kid at heart" and I look forward to babysitting for your family in the future!
