About me
I have over twenty years of experience caring for children ages newborn through fifteen years. I have extensive knowledge of child development and milestones, I’m certified in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid, and I’m experienced with many special needs. I'm currently studying Child Psychology in an online program and incorporate this into my work. Previous families have described me as caring, engaging, responsible, patient, creative, organized and adaptable. My communication skills and awareness enable me to connect with children and help them navigate and express what they are feeling and experiencing. I’m extremely verbal, always respond to a child's questions, and communicate what they are seeing and doing throughout the day. I believe this builds trust, encourages a passion for learning, and increases language skills. I also encourage independent play as it builds confidence and creativity. I’m skilled at creating fun and educational activities in any environment. I’m also skilled at establishing routines and setting rules and boundaries in a caring manner. I encourage curiosity and
exploration of the world, and always create a safe, warm and comfortable environment in which children can learn, develop and express themselves. I like to work as a team with parents to ensure continuity for the children and I value honesty and open communication.
