About me

As a recently graduated MFA student in acting, I've dedicated my life to connecting, collaborating, and creating. Now, having performed for children in New York as well as teaching theater to young children in California, I've seen how important it is to keep innocence and good clean fun at the forefront of all downtime that children have. Too often, children are held hostage by glaring computer screens, TV sets and electronic devices, impairing them from their true genius and the wonderful world inside themselves. It has become more and more important to me, for this reason, to be an agent for imagination, empowering games and activities. As your SmartSItter, I would love to share the joy that I’ve found through theater with children and help guide them into a fuller more expressive life."

I would describe myself as effervescent, warm and creative. I'm an actress, singer, dancer and musician, and love incorporating that in my work with children! I have acted, sang and danced my way from my hometown in California to New York City, where I received my MFA in Acting from the New School for Drama.

From the time I was 18 years old, I have worked and created with children. From looking after and playing pretend with my beloved nieces and nephews at home to creating theater
with groups of 12 or more children at a time, I have encouraged play and creative arts as an agent for empowerment in the social, creative and academic inner lives of children as young as 1.5 years old. I like to apply this playful and focused structure to my work with children, truly listening to what they have to say, encouraging lively activities and letting them know the value of their imagination.
