About me

Hi there! I'm Claire, a proud Texas native and an NYU graduate. I moved to the city for college and have stayed close by ever since. I worked as an after-school nanny in NYC for families of varying sizes around the city for five years. If you include my babysitting work during school--I have ten years of experience. I took more traditional jobs after COVID-19, allowing me to work from home. In my other pursuits, I have been the co-director of an educational non-profit since 2021 and have been a volunteer tutor since 2020. I have been a working actress(you may have seen me on a TV show or two), a documentary producer(with PBS), and have cared for many children from pre-school through senior year of high school. I was a very energetic and creative child growing up(as was my younger sister), and I grew up in a big southern family with cousins all around.

I moved to NYC for college and worked as a part-time nanny for families around the city during college and beyond. I've primarily cared for elementary and middle school-aged children. Mainly after-school positions, but I'm open to different schedules if the fit is right. The youngest age I have cared for is three years old, and the oldest is 18. My most recent position was caring for two children, ages 10 and 13. I picked them up every day after school and took them to various extracurricular activities. I cooked for the family most nights, cleaned the apartment, helped them with homework, and cared for their pet. I'm very proud that I helped these kids foster a genuine love of reading and brought them out of their shells. I have experience working with children with ADHD, children on the autism spectrum, and children with severe allergies. I am also great at helping with homework, college applications, and more (particularly English, history, and anything music-related).

Caring for children brings me a lot of joy! I am dedicated, patient, punctual, and nurturing. I am artistic and creative and like to incorporate that into childcare. My goal is always clear communication and effective teamwork when working with families. I always put safety first. One of my greatest strengths as a nanny is staying on schedule and making things fun for the kids. I love being a nanny and value my relationships with the parents and the children.
