About me

I fell in love with working with children at a young age, as I was a regular sitter in my neighborhood. From this experience, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I attended SUNY Geneseo to receive a Bachelor's degree in Elementary/Special Education. Being a teacher brings me such joy. It is truly an amazing gift to be able to see and facilitate a child's ability to learn and grow right in front of your eyes!

One of the most impressionable moments that influenced my decisions to pursure my dreams of working with children occurred at the end of my student teaching placement at Livonia Elementary School. I was lucky enough to start the year off with the students, being able to really get to know them and being there for each other as I was learning a lot too. Along with my cooperating teacher, at the end of the placement, my students threw me a "going away party" complete with party hats, cake, and even a book they all helped create.

Each student described a memory of something I did that helped them be a better writer, reader, friend or person. Needless to say, this was an extremely emotional moment for me. Not only did I realize how much little things impact others, but also how much I learned from them as well. This one of the many reasons why I love working with kids! I hope to be able to share these moments with your child/children as well because I truly believe that life is about symbiotic relationships; where each and every person can learn and grow together!

During my time as a babysitter, I have cleaned, helped with laundry, meal prepped, picked up and dropped off at school, had playdates with other children, and taken them to after school activities! I am very flexible, understanding, and easy to get along with. I understand that as a babysitter, I have a responsibility to keep children happy and safe, while maintaining a learning environment. I feel that all of my experiences have helped me build me a foundation to work effectively with children, and I am excited to continue working with families in this capacity!
