About me

Hi! My name is Nora and I currently reside in Brooklyn, New York. Originally from Los Angeles, California, I am a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College where I studied child development, theatre and voice. After graduating from college I moved back to LA and started working at Step by Step in Santa Monica, a pre-school dedicated to working primarily with special needs children. At Step by Step I worked both onsite as Enrichment Coordinator planning activities for our after-school program and as a Behavioral Interventionist, which meant that I made home visits working with parents and caregivers to continue positive and effective behavioral patterns amongst my clients.

Since moving to New York I have worked full-time and part-time as a nanny. I have experience with children of all ages, ranging from infants to adolescents. I love working with children. It is one of my greatest passions. I especially love the opportunity to be creative, adventurous and playful while maintaining respectful boundaries. I am happy to help out with homework, food prep, and keeping things tidy. At the moment I am looking for flexible part-time work as I will be starting a full-time graduate program in Social Work at Columbia University this fall.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I enjoy music, dance and performance. I love bringing creativity to my work with children. I also love to read, cook, and spend time outside when the weather permits. I believe that it is important to practice reading. I love to read to infants and toddlers and it is always exciting when a child is learning to read and wants to share that experience with you.
