About me

As a child, summer camp was my favorite thing in the world. When I turned 14 I finally got to begin sharing my love for camp with kids as a Counselor-in-Training. Taking care of children has been one of the greatest joys of my life ever since.

I'm a recent graduate of Bard College with a degree in photography, and I love sharing my passion for the arts with kids. This ranges from arts and crafts, to dance, as well as music. I played violin for ten years as a child, making me familiar with nurturing a child's specific hobbies and passions –– whether that be sports, gymnastics, chess, or even arts as well!

My childcare experience scopes from six years as a camp counselor (including every position between Counselor-in-Training to Assistant Head Counselor), to a private nanny and babysitter, as well as an ESL tutor in Mexico. I believe compassionate attention through engaging activities creates the healthiest environment for a child to grow.

When I was working at summer camp, we had an activity called "Tonka Town" in which there was a large pile of sand and several hoses and shovels. Although they were only working with these very simple materials, these kids were able to create incredibly imaginative stories through merely sand and water. I remember one specific time when a child constructed an intricate structure, stood atop of it and screamed "year after year the river comes back!" It is moments like these that keep me coming back, too, to kids.
