About me

Whether I am with infants, toddlers, school-age kids, teens, college students or seniors,
nurturing is what I like to do. I love managing kids and have been a nanny since I was sixteen initially for an infant. I found I loved raising children and have have worked for many lovely families including raising my own kids into adulthood. Along my journey, I learned you also have to nurture children completely and enjoy doing the mundane daily routines to help them feel comfortable and confident with themselves and their alone time. After raising my own children, going to college, owning a non-profit and working in schools, there is an art to raising kids and parenting which is about the health of the entire unit. Raising kids includes party planning, rites of passage rituals and celebrations, sleepovers, trips to the mall, and on and on. I want to assist a couple with the challenges of juggling demanding jobs with the daily social and developmental needs of their children. I am most interested in lovingly setting boundaries, routines and schedules. I am very warm and well traveled. I was brought up in a diplomatic home so I speak several languages at a proficient level that include French, Arabic, Russian and Sotho and I am learning Spanish. I can cook family dinners. I love pets and if necessary, I will also take care of their special needs including walks and dog parks, vet and grooming, and boarding needs. I am a teaching artist but feel most satisfied spending time with children. I specialize in early childhood arts education emphasizing on activities that focus on confidence and self-esteem through dramatic play, voice and speech, reading and writing, music and dance drama. I am very interested in assisting families to support inquisitive children as well as those with special needs to help them all make the best possible choices for the long-term well being of their family. Five years from now, I will be supporting a good family and being a writer part-time.
