About me

As the daughter of a flight attendant, I grew up with a lust for adventure and travel! Growing up, my family and I would spend many weeks each year traveling around the world, often staying with locals in an effort to absorb and learn from other cultures. I believe this is was the catalyst to my interest in psychology and the study of human development.

In college, I studied a broad range of specialties including: child development, autism, cognitive science and personality disorders. I interned at an academy for children with autism for several semesters, as well as interned at an inpatient treatment center for those battling severe eating disorders. Through these experiences, I not only honed my professional skills but learned to be an open and honest listener, filled with empathy and compassion for others.

During my college years I began babysitting as a part time job; helping neighbors when they wanted to go on the occasional date night or after-school care with homework help. I quickly realized that working with children is where my passions lie. In my personal experience, the most formidable time in a child's life is that spent out of the classroom. Surrounding your child/children with supportive and creative individuals is insurmountably beneficial, and I hope I can be one of those people!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

As much as I value structure and traditional education, I also enjoy creative pursuits. In the past, I have been known to be: the director of park plays, choreographer to living room dance recitals and taste-tester for household master chef juniors. I am a big proponent of imaginative play as well as creative writing and reading.
