About me

I am a Hamilton-loving, dog-obsessed, book reader who is passionate about plagrounds and always having really great snacks. I am from Seattle, Washington but I have been on the East Coast since I attended Barnard College, where I studied English and Psychology and spent my extra time performing in plays and musicals.

I have been sitting since I was old enough to be left alone with my little brother, and have since gone on to work as a summer camp counselor (3 years), Resident Assistant at Barnard College (3 years), Hebrew school teacher (3 years), and SAT tutor (2 years). I have been lucky to work with several wonderful families on a regular basis since graduating college and have discovered a true passion for caring for children as well as teaching.

As a working actress and writer, I find children to be the best improvisational partners and storytelling companions. I love playing, telling stories, dress up, baking, going outside, arts and crafts, reading books, and going on adventures in the city. As a regular sitter for children ages 2-14 I have ample experience doing school pick ups, homework completion, handling NYC transportation, finding activities to do in the city, preparing dinner, and taking children through bedtime rituals. I have a lot of experience teaching children reading (english and hebrew) and engaging in diligent practice and reading games. I believe that childcare should start with compassion and that children should be treated as fabulously creative and capable people.
