About me

I have been taking care of children since I was one myself! I started out as a Mother's Helper during church services, taking care of infants and toddlers. I continued babysitting all through middle school and high school as well, and then had a regular job in college taking care of a ten year old girl after school several days a week. After graduating, I continued to work with children of all ages in NYC.

I got my BFA in Theatre with a minor in English from New York University, and it is my life's joy to work with my imagination. That is probably the biggest reason I love to work with children! Kids are thoroughly imaginative and I love to not only play make believe with them, but find creative solutions to problems or come up with new and interesting games to play to keep them engaged and happy.

In addition to babysitting, I am also a professional actress. I just finished playing Ralphie and Randy’s mom in the national tour of A Christmas Story: The Musical, based on the classic film. I also love Shakespeare, and have played such roles as Olivia in Twelfth Night and Miranda in The Tempest. I’m also currently writing a play about a group of young women who start a company called “Powerful Women Of The Past Parties” to compete with the “Princess Party” scene, as well as a musical about the nineteenth century reporter, Nellie Bly, who went around the world in 72 days between 1889 and 1890.

Whether writing, acting or babysitting, I believe in fully engaging with my mind and imagination to make the experience exciting and fulfilling for all involved.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I think my skills as a musician and creator are the most useful abilities I have to offer children. One of my favorite things to do is create skits or plays with kids. I also think playing with dolls is enormously fun and can be therapeutic. And I play guitar so I love to have sing alongs. I also love to play board games, build forts, have adventures in parks outside and create artwork!
