About me
Taking care of children has always been a passion of mine. I have experience with children of all ages from being a nanny/babysitter, a camp counselor, a mentor and tutor, a substitute teacher, and a first, fourth, and fifth grade teacher. I graduated college with duel certification in Elementary Education and Special Education, and I received a masters in Human Nutrition. I am also an owner of a small business called Lyme and Cancer Services, where I write health articles and work with people with Lyme disease and cancer in their recovery process.
I moved to NYC five years ago. During that time I have cared for a two-year-old little boy for a year and a two-year-old little girl for 2 years. While being a part of their life, it has been pretty exciting watching these children transition through the different stages of being a toddler, and seeing more and more of their personality develop.
I would make caring for your child my top priority, whether it be though daily activities like feeding and changing them, or interacting with them through playing games, reading, or outdoor activities. I am also happy to take your child to various appointments as well. I am an enthusiastic, kind, and responsible person and I look forward to meeting you and you child.
I have professional child care experience with...
- Infants
- Toddlers
- Preschoolers
- School-aged (K-5)
- Preteen
- Teenagers
- Twins
- Multiples
- Special Needs
In 5 years, I hope to be...
I hope to be working at a physicians office as a nutritionist, and to continuing working with Lyme and Cancer Services.
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I used to be an elementary school teacher, and love to engage children in various arts and crafts activities. I also enjoy baking and making fun snacks with children, reading with children, and being active whether it be with different sports activities or going to the park. Skills like sharing and respecting others is always something that I encourage as well.
