About me

Hello! I'm Mia, and I am a Midwest gal on the East Coast! I was born and raised in Wisconsin, and am the youngest of four kids (with a twin brother!). Starting at an early age, my creativity and imagination lead me to play and create, which I continue to do today as a performing artist! I received a BFA in story telling, better known as Musical Theatre!

Ever since I was little, I have loved to use my imagination to either be someone else, or go on an epic adventure! I started playing violin at the age of 6, but I always knew that my passion was to sing. I began to take voice lessons when I was 10, and became active in theatre by age 12. Once the acting bug bit, I've been pursuing it ever since! Being part of a big family exposed me to many things beyond my art. Together, my family and I would constantly do outdoor activities, which has given me a great appreciation for nature.

My experience with children ranges from being an at-home sitter, to a camp counselor, to a hotel sitter. At camp, I was responsible to compose a daily schedule by the ½ hour of varied educational and recreational events, crafts, and activities. For families, care has included crafts, playing games (including athletic sports/nurf gun wars!), completing household chores together, homework assistance, meal prep, and completing bedtime routine.

Through all my experiences, I always strive to project warmth, positivity, and empathy because they are values of connection and understanding from one being to another. I was raised to be the best you can be, and to hold yourself responsible to share your talents and goodness with others.

Some quick things to note about me is that I love to cook, travel, swim or be around water, be outside in the sunshine, and bake pie (or any sweet for that matter)!

In 5 years, I hope to be...

The dream is to be flourishing in my career, yet build a fruitful and purposeful life around that. I no doubt want to be on Broadway, while actively pursuing my on camera career, but to also develop other outlets and commitments that are purposeful apart from my career. This combination will make me feel more at home in the Tri-state area, and allow me to use my skills to enrich others.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love to use my theatrical and creative mind with children! After all, children have the greatest imaginations! I love to sing, play games, or create something with a child because those are things I did growing up that I feel have shaped me into who I am today. Whether it be baking cookies, coloring, hosting a tea party, or playing nurf gun wars, I like to teach children that they should use their imaginations and look beyond virtual reality or technology.
