About me

Hello! My name is Devin and I am a sitter originally from the Boston area! As the oldest child in my family, I have been a built in babysitter for as long as I can remember. My younger brother and I have an age gap of almost a decade and some of my earliest babysitting experiences come from taking care of him. Because of the experience I gained from this, I began babysitting for other families in middle school and high school, as well as teaching acting and dance classes to children aged three to twelve years old at the local regional theatre. In addition to teaching, I also worked as an assistant at my local daycare, specializing in infant and early toddler care.

In 2012 I moved to New York and enrolled at Pace University to pursue my BFA in Acting. During my time at Pace I began to babysit for a family in my neighborhood with three children ranging from pre-kindergarten to late middle school. For two years I helped manage their after-school activities, homework, dinners, and bedtime routines. I had an awesome time getting to know that family and learning about the differences between babysitting in a small town versus nannying in a major city. Because of some connections made through that family or through school friends who also babysat, I began working with other families in the city, including one family who I regularly helped with early mornings so the parents could get off to work with a hitch. All in all, I have always loved working with children and hope to always get to work with them in some capacity. I hope to continue to meet great families and get to share the things I love with the children and families I get the privilege of working with.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love to share my love of drama and music with kids. I think encouraging creativity is so important when kids are developing, and drama and music really help with that. I also love cooking and baking things that taste good but are also good for you, and I love sharing that with kids and their families.
