About me

My mother & father set a wonderful creative arts foundation that inspired me, at a young age, to go for my dreams. When I turned 3, I began dancing as a baby tapper at the Nancy Santamaria School of Dance, and continued to grow as a performer up through middle school. Once I was a freshman in high school, Nancy offered me a position as the assistant teacher for children 3+. Every weekend I would teach young dancers, and provide fun classes to engage the students in learning proper technique & etiquette. It was rewarding paying it forward to the next generation of dancers. Ever since then, I have been passionate about teaching the arts to kids, and helping them realize their dreams can also become a reality.

I was inspired to take my knowledge of teaching & nannying to the next level. I took a First Aid for Babysitters course at Delaware County Memorial Hospital (CPR Certified), and shortly after I began babysitting for multiple families in the Philadelphia area. I would incorporate private dance lessons to certain families after school. I gained a ton of experience over these years with children 3-11.

After graduating high school, I attended Syracuse University and received a B.F.A in musical theatre. After my first year, I became a Resident Advisor for the freshman in various dorm halls around the campus. We were required to provide weekly activities for the college freshman, and help them get acclimated to campus life. I would also babysit my voice teachers kids to help pay off some of the extra voice lessons. I began to incorporate more activities into my repertoire, such as: yoga, guitar, basic piano, arts&crafts, singing & acting.

Once I graduated from Syracuse University, Disney Cruise Line hired me as one of their mainstage performers. On the ship I performed as Mary Poppins, Rapunzel & Mrs. Potts 8 times a week. We were also required to work with the characters and the kids during the day. Disney taught me how to add a spoonful of sugar to hard lessons kids have to learn in life. I began to own my inner 'Marie Poppins' and make magic moments happen for the kids that would vacation on the cruise line that week.

Since I got back from the high seas, I have been working in NYC as a part time nanny, while also fulfilling my acting career. I have worked with 3 families part time/long term the past 4 years I have been here. Kids ages 2-12. I have gained experience in teaching various instruments, dance, acting, and arts. I have also perfected the Poppins house clean for several families that have had a hard time tidying up as the week goes on. Finally, my most favorite job in NYC has been New York Princess Party. I get to work with kids on their special day and make that Disney magic happen. I am excited and ready for my next chapter!
