About me

Hi, my name is Marie Eife & I am a local New York City Nanny ready to fly in with my umbrella for all your child care coverage needs!

At a young age, my parents set a wonderful creative arts foundation that inspired me to reach for my dreams. Singing, dancing & acting resonated with me the most. I took dance very seriously, and even worked as an assistant teacher on the weekends to cover the cost of dance classes. Ever since then, I have been passionate about teaching the arts to young adults, and help them realize their dreams can also become a reality.

I was grateful to attend Syracuse University and received a B.F.A in Musical Theatre. During my time there, I was a proud Resident Advisor for 2 years in various dorm halls on campus. We were required to provide weekly activities for the college students, and help them get acclimated to campus life. As a young woman, I began to build my skills as a communicator, child care provider & activity planner.

Once I graduated Syracuse University in 2012, Disney Cruise Line hired me as one of their lead performers. I performed as Mary Poppins, Rapunzel & Mrs. Potts 8x a week on the MainStage. Disney taught me how to add a spoonful of sugar to hard lessons kids have to learn in life. I began to own my inner 'Marie Poppins' and make magic moments happen for the kids that would vacation on the cruise line that week.

Once I returned from the sea in 2013, I moved to Manhattan full time. I have been lucky enough to be a part of musicals professionally like Wicked, Hairspray, White Christmas, etc. In-between and during the times I work as an actor professionally, I have also worked with several families part time/long term. I have gained experience in teaching various instruments, dance, acting, voice & song writing privately. I have also perfected the Marie Poppins house clean for several families that have had a hard time tidying up as the week goes on. Finally, I am also known to curate princess or themed parties with families to make their birthday extra magical with Broadway performers.
